Volunteers were out in force as Autumn brings the final show of the year to the library gardens.
But on this seasonally wet morning, thoughts were very much on the coming spring. The ground had been prepared and the wildflower turf had arrived. Conditions were ideal for the turf to get off to a good start and volunteers wasted no time in getting to work.
In little under half and hour the turf was laid with many hands making light work. We now look forward to a memorable display in the garden with food and habitat for a whole range of wildlife.
The Library Garden was planned and built originally by NSDC but is now maintained and developed by volunteers with the ongoing support from the NSDC Street Scene Team. Interested in volunteering to help the garden continue to thrive? Contact us by emailing: NewarkRepairCafe@proton.me
